Geography professor Laurel Smith, along with co-author Filo Gomez, discussed their forthcoming article--"The Affective Logic of Video Activism"--based on their work in Oaxaca, Mexico and Oklahoma. Mr. Gomez presented on the challenges and rewards of directing a 22-minute video called "Listening for the Rain," which captures indigenous perspectives on global climate change from the United States.
